Charles De Ketelaere scored a brace in Belgium’s 4-1 victory over United States of America (USA) during the round of 16 encounter at the 2026 FIFA World Cup in Seattle.
Substitutes Hans Vanaken and Romelu Lukaku scored the other goals for the European side.
Malik Tillman pulled off the consolation for United States of America (USA).
Belgium took the early lead through Ketelaere’s 9th minute goal. Tillman leveled the matters on the half hour mark.
Ketelaere, who features for Atlanta in the Italian Serie A restored Belgium’s lead three minute later to establish a 2-1 lead by the break.
Vanaken made it 3-1 after 57 minutes and Lukaku sealed Belgium’s victory with a stoppage time goal.
Now, the elimination of USA followed the exit of two other co-hosts Mexico and Canada at the same stage.
Belgium will now face Spain at the quarter final stage.
Spain ejected Portugal 1-0 with Mikel Merino’s 91st minute goal.

Reigning world champions Argentina will face off Egypt in the early kick off at Atlanta stadium.
Switzerland will then play Colombia at the BC Place Vancouver stadium.
