Uganda Cranes did not conduct their scheduled training session on Saturday evening. According to the programme released by the team media officer Stephen Mayamba, the team was supposed to train at 4:00PM (local time).
Kawowo Sports media team was on ground, about 30 minutes before time and at around 4:10PM, part of the coaching team led by Paul Put arrived at Stade Olympique Annex. However, there was no sight of the team bus.
The coaching staff went ahead to arrange the training gear on pitch but a few minutes later, they shockingly withdrew everything, packed their bags, moved back to the waiting car and headed back to the team hotel.
Efforts to have a word from Coach Put yielded only a coded message with the gaffer indicating this disruption could affect his plans.
For now, there is no official communication from the team camp yet but Kawowo Sports is on ground to accertain the reason why the team did not train and we shall bring you details in our subsequent reports.
